And thanks for the holiday wishes. Same to you.

If you went back now to the original game, I'm sure you'll be back to Guild Wars as it is now really fast. People don't appreciate the effort love and attention Arenanet puts into this (no monthly cost!) game and people are so easy to forget all the things that were added over the years. It's so easy to complain. How about being constructive for a change?

Well, that no monthly cost arguement doesn't wash.
Man goes in to buy a car.
Salesman: I have this brand new car with 100,000 mile warranty for $2,000. You'll love it, I promise.
Man: Great, I'll take it.
Car blows up after 50,000 miles.
Man: Fix my car, its still under warranty.
Salesman: Screw you, and stop bitching. You only paid 2k. I think you got your money's worth. Just wait another year and I'll sell you another car that is much better ..... I promise.

My Xmas present from Anet:
1) Buff SF
2) Give me 100 of each of the rare minis.
3) Pretty much let me get whatever I want. (which makes 1) and 2) pointless.......lol)
Lol. ;pp

Your comparison doesn't wash either. You've got a game that most of us have been playing for over 3 years (instead of the usual 8 hours, or incase of Modern Warfare 2, -5 hours), yet without any of the monthly costs involved in this genre... and on top of that, you have free bug fixes, and free additional content. That doesn't mean you can't complain, but by Grenth be thankful for a change. A lot of the team even use their spare time to make sure we have more fun.

Fun fact- CoD is a FPS, Guild Wars is a MMO (it was MMCORPG but has deteriorated into a mmo). You are comparing two completely different genres and two different audiences.

Neither does yours.

Sure, they have no obligation to care for the game they've put out. However, it would be stupid of them to not try and constantly update their game since the playerbase would move on to another game.

Sadly I only see this with the current team since it's so small. I seem to recall in prior dev updates (with the "full" team) that a lot of them played other games such as TF2 in their spare time.
To me this year was pretty bad for GW's rep as a whole, but I guess it's now all water under the bridge. The most important concern I have is how Anet is going to handle another year with a tiny team and a lack of expansions to maintain their image for GW2. Stronger communication would be appreciated for future updates as new projects that they plan to implement (even if they later scrap them).

The thing I wish this tiny team would do, more than any other, is to give us players something new to chew on. For ex: in pretty much any other mmos, you get updates of new areas expanded, new place to go and explore. But Gw lack precisely this, you get the same old updates recycled every single weekend, it's like rereading the books you have read a billion times already. Even if it's gonna take them awhile or even a long time to make it, as long as the stuff is good once it comes out, I got nothing to complain.

Fck patience, get back to work and don't screw up the skill update.

The game is what it is. No monthy fees, etc., etc., all included in the price you pay to use the software. It's not free fixes, free updates, occassional free content. You PAY for that when you purchase your game copy. That's their schtick, their advertising gimmick ... their lure for players.
